This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for SR7 Web Design. It sets out what happens if you cancel a Project, what charges may apply for work already carried out, and which items are non-refundable.
By placing an order or signing a service agreement with us, you agree to be bound by this policy.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions
- “SR7 Web Design”, “we”, “us”, “our” means SR7 Web Design.
- “Client”, “you”, “your” means the individual, sole trader, company, or other organisation purchasing our Services.
- “Services” means any web design, web development, consulting, maintenance, and related services we agree to provide.
- “Project” means the specific scope of work and deliverables agreed with the Client (including any fixed-price website build or similar deliverables).
- Deposits are non-refundable. Where we require a deposit to book work in, that deposit is non-refundable once paid (except where a refund is required by law).
- Payment for work completed. If a Project is cancelled for any reason, all work completed up to the cancellation date remains payable, including (where applicable) planning, design, development, content setup, and project management time.
- Invoices. Any outstanding balance after applying amounts already paid (including any deposit) will be invoiced and must be paid within the timeframe stated on the invoice.
- Third-party costs. Any third-party costs we have incurred on your behalf remain payable and are non-refundable (see Section 7).
4.1 Cancellation by the Client
If you cancel a fixed-price Project after work has started, the following fees apply (calculated as a percentage of the total agreed Project fee):
- After project kickoff/planning: 25%
- During design/development: 50%
- After the first full draft/review: 75%
- Once the site is ready for go-live, or where 30 days has passed since we requested Client content and it has not been provided: 100%
If amounts already paid are less than the fee due at the point of cancellation, the remaining balance will be invoiced. If amounts already paid exceed the fee due, we will refund the difference (subject to any non-refundable third-party costs).
4.2 Cancellation by SR7 Web Design
We may cancel a Project if, for example, invoices are not paid, you do not provide required content/feedback within a reasonable time, or you ask us to produce unlawful or inappropriate content. If we cancel due to Client-side issues, you remain liable for work completed and any third-party costs incurred.
- No refunds for change of mind. We do not provide refunds because you changed your mind after placing an order.
- No refunds for business circumstances. We do not provide refunds due to changes in your business circumstances (for example, closure, pause in trading, or a change in marketing plans).
- No refunds for client-side delays. We do not provide refunds where delays are caused by the Client (for example, not providing content, approvals, access, or feedback when requested).
- Bespoke digital services. Our Services are bespoke and delivered digitally. Any refund (if applicable) is limited to the portion of Services not yet delivered and not yet carried out, subject always to this policy and any legal requirements.
For ongoing maintenance, support, or retainer Services:
- Billed in advance. Retainers are billed in advance for each billing period.
- Auto-renew. Retainers automatically renew each billing period unless cancelled in line with this section.
- Cancellation notice. You must provide 14 days’ written notice to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (unless we agree otherwise in writing).
- No pro-rata refunds. Fees already billed for the current billing period are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Third-party costs are non-refundable. This includes (without limitation) costs for domains, hosting, email services, premium plugins, themes, stock images, and external software licences purchased or renewed on your behalf.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights in certain circumstances where required by law.
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
