One designer. No hand-offs.

You deal with me, not an account manager

SR7 Web Design is me, George, working from Seaham in County Durham. There is no team behind the name. I take the first call, write the quote, design and build the site, and answer the phone after it goes live.

That matters more than it sounds. With a larger agency your job gets passed from a salesperson to a project manager to a designer to a developer, and every hand-off loses something. Here, the person you explained your business to is the person who builds your website.

Who I work with

Trades, training providers, salons, cafés, garages, shops and small local firms, mostly across Seaham, Sunderland, Durham, Hartlepool and Newcastle, and increasingly further afield. Some have never commissioned a website before; some have one that was thrown together years ago and brings in nothing; some need a shop, a booking system or a platform. Either way, I explain things in plain English and don’t add anything you didn’t ask for.

How I work

  • Scope and price are written down before anything is built. No surprise invoices.
  • Every site is designed for the business in front of me and built by hand: custom WordPress themes and plugins where you need to edit content, hand-built static sites where speed matters most. No page builders.
  • Performance, accessibility and search are part of the build, measured on the live site, not added at the end.
  • Your website and domain remain yours. If you choose SR7 Managed Website Care, the hosting account is managed by SR7 Web Design. Your website can be exported or moved to another provider if you leave.
  • Support after launch if you want it, none if you don’t.

Why the studio projects exist

Alongside client work, I design and build complete websites of my own: a fashion shop, a beauty boutique, a steakhouse, a barbershop, a roofer, a car dealer, an electrical contractor, a café. Each one is a real, working website on its own domain, and each exists to show what a sector’s website can be when the brand, the photography, the build and the search work are treated as one job.

The name

SR7 is the Seaham postcode. The studio started here in January 2026, and the harbour badge is still on the Google profile.

How a project runs

From first call to launch day.

  1. Step 01

    A conversation

We talk through what you do, who you want to reach and what the site needs to do for you. Phone, in person or by email.

  2. Step 02

    A fixed quote

You get a written quote listing the pages and features included. Nothing starts until you’re happy with it.

  3. Step 03

    Design and build

I design and build the site and send you a private link to review. You tell me what to change and I change it.

  4. Step 04

    Launch and handover

The site goes live on your domain. You get the logins, a walkthrough of how to update it, and support if you want it.
