Service Ecommerce web design
Ecommerce web design that feels like a real brand.
Online shops for independent retailers and makers: designed around the product, quick to buy from on a phone, and built to be found for what you sell rather than just your name.
Quoted as a Bespoke project, from £995
Who it’s for
Built for
- Independent fashion, homeware and gift shops
- Makers and small brands selling their own products
- Local retailers adding online sales to a physical shop
- Businesses outgrowing a marketplace or a basic shop builder
The problems it solves
What usually goes wrong, and what I do about it.
Every shop builder looks the same
Standard themes put your products in the same grid as thousands of other shops. A brand-led design gives the photography room, carries your identity into every page and makes the shop memorable.
Shopping on a phone is fiddly
Most online shopping happens on a phone, one-handed. Filters, size guides, the basket and checkout are designed for a thumb first, then scaled up for desktop.
Products don’t show up in search
Category and collection pages are planned around what shoppers actually type, product pages carry proper structure, and guides link to the products they mention.
Photography lets the products down
Inconsistent product photos make a shop look cheap. I plan the photography style with you (angles, backgrounds, crops) so the catalogue looks like one collection.

What it costs.
Online shops are quoted as Bespoke projects from £995. The final price depends on the size of the catalogue, the payment and delivery set-up, and how much photography and copy help you need. The quote lists everything before you commit. See pricing.
Questions
Ecommerce web design questions
Which ecommerce platform do you use?
It depends on the shop: the size of the range, how you manage stock, and who adds products. I’ll recommend a platform after the first conversation and explain the running costs honestly, including payment fees.
Can you move my existing shop?
Yes. Products, categories and customer-facing URLs are mapped so existing Google results and shared links keep working, with permanent redirects for anything that moves.
Do you photograph products?
I write the photography brief and direct the style, and I can treat and prepare the images you supply so the catalogue looks consistent.
Is Dene & Dune a real shop?
No. It’s an SR7 concept project: a complete, working shop built for a fictional boutique to show the level of design and build an independent retailer can have. It doesn’t take payments.

Want a shop that sells as well as it looks?
Tell me what you sell, how many products you have, and where you sell them now. I’ll come back with a straight answer and a price.
