Area Newcastle
Web design in Newcastle.
Web design for Newcastle trades, training providers, salons and hospitality. Recent work includes KPM First Aid Training. Fixed price, one person to deal with.
Newcastle is up the A19 from Seaham, and one of the sites on my work page, KPM First Aid Training, is for a Newcastle-based business. I’m happy to travel up for the first meeting; after that most clients find phone, email and a shared review link do the job.
Competing in the region’s biggest city
Newcastle has more web designers, more agencies and more businesses fighting for the same searches than anywhere else in the North East. Where I fit is with small businesses who want a properly built site from someone who does the work personally, at a fixed price agreed up front, rather than an agency retainer.
What I build for Newcastle businesses
Trades and home services across Newcastle, Gateshead and North Tyneside; training providers and consultants; cafés, salons and independent shops in the neighbourhoods. Anything with booking, members or payments is quoted as a Bespoke project after a conversation about what you need.
The basics, done properly
- Custom build, no page builder, quick on a phone
- Pages written for the searches your customers actually make
- Google Business Profile matched to the website
- Your website and domain stay yours, wherever it’s hosted

Work for Newcastle businesses
KPM First Aid Training is a Newcastle-based first aid and lifesaving trainer. Its dated site was rebuilt from scratch with a custom theme and plugin, course pages structured for booking, and every old page redirected so nothing already found on Google was lost. Karen’s review is on the homepage.
Two SR7 studio projects are also set in the city: Ember & Bone, a steakhouse in Grainger Town with a full menu, private dining and reservations, and Gentry House Barbers, a grooming house with barber profiles and a five-step booking journey. They show the level of design available to Newcastle’s restaurants, bars, salons and barbers.
Hospitality, salons and independents
In a city with this much choice, a website has to match the experience in the room. For hospitality that means menus as real text, booking that works end to end, and photography that sells the atmosphere. For salons and barbers, treatments and prices set out clearly, and booking in a few taps on a phone.
