A redesign done carelessly can wipe out years of search history overnight. Every existing URL is recorded before anything changes, and every page that moves gets a direct, permanent redirect to its closest replacement.

Page builders pile code onto every page. Rebuilding with a custom theme or a static build usually makes the same content load several times faster on a phone.
Content nobody has touched in years
Old copy gets reviewed page by page: what’s still true, what ranks, what can go. Valuable pages are improved, not deleted.

For KPM First Aid Training, a dated site was rebuilt from scratch with a custom theme and plugin. Every page on the old site was mapped and 301-redirected to its replacement so existing Google results kept working from day one, and Search Console was set up in the client’s own account.
The SR7 website itself was rebuilt the same way: a crawl of every live URL, Search Console data recorded before launch, and every existing address preserved or redirected.

What it costs.
A straightforward redesign of a small site is usually quoted as Growth at £595. Larger sites, shops or rebuilds with custom functionality are Bespoke from £995. Sometimes a smaller fix is enough; I’ll tell you honestly if a redesign isn’t the right spend. A free website review is a good place to start.

Will I lose my Google rankings?
Nobody can guarantee positions, but a careful migration protects what you have: the same URLs wherever possible, direct 301 redirects where they change, content that keeps its subject, and quick fixes if anything drops out after launch.
Can you keep my current content?
Yes. Existing pages are reviewed and carried over, with copy tightened and improved where it helps. Nothing factual or valuable is removed without discussing it with you.
Should I redesign or start again?
If the site is on a sensible platform and the problems are mostly cosmetic, a refresh may be enough. If it’s slow, locked into a builder you can’t leave, or no longer reflects the business, a rebuild usually costs less over time. I’ll give you my honest view.
What happens to my old website?
It stays live until the new one has passed its checks, then it’s switched over in one step. A backup of the old site is kept.
