Local SEO: show up when people nearby search.

Who it’s for

Built for

  • Local businesses that don’t appear on Google Maps
  • Trades who show up for their name but not for their services
  • Businesses covering several towns across County Durham or Tyne and Wear
  • Owners with a Google Business Profile they’ve never set up properly

The problems it solves

What usually goes wrong, and what I do about it.

01

“Why isn’t my business showing up on Google?”

Usually it’s a mix of an incomplete Google Business Profile, a website that doesn’t say clearly what you do and where, and business details that don’t match across the web. Each of those can be fixed.

02

One page trying to rank for everything

A single “services” page can’t rank for every job you do. Each main service needs its own page, written the way customers describe the problem.

03

Covering a patch, not a town

Instead of dozens of near-identical town pages (which Google treats as doorway pages), one honest page about the areas you cover, supported by real work in those places.

04

Reviews and details scattered everywhere

Name, address, phone number and hours are brought into line across Google, Bing, Apple Maps, Facebook and the directories that matter, and reviews get a simple routine.

What SR7 provides

What’s included.

  • Google Business Profile set up or tidied: categories, services, description, service area, photos and posts
  • Service and area pages structured so each targets one kind of search
  • Titles, descriptions, headings and structured data written for people and search engines
  • Business details made consistent across Google, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and key directories
  • A simple review routine, and replies to reviews written in your voice
  • Search Console set up in your own account, with a plain-English summary of what it shows
  • Technical fixes: speed, mobile problems, broken links, redirects, sitemaps and indexing issues

The Durham Coast Roofing concept shows the structure: seven service pages each written for the jobs people search for, and one areas page for the County Durham coast. Treemasters, a real Seaham tree surgeon, has six service pages and an area section covering County Durham and Tyne and Wear, with click-to-call on every screen.

Process

How it runs.

  1. Step 01

    Check

How you appear now in Search and Maps, what your profile says, and what your website tells Google.

  2. Step 02

    Fix the foundations

Profile, business details, site structure and technical problems first.

  3. Step 03

    Build relevance

Service and area content that answers what local customers actually search for.

  4. Step 04

    Measure

Search Console and profile insights tracked honestly: impressions, clicks, calls and direction requests.

Pricing

What it costs.

Local search set-up is included in every Starter (£295) and Growth (£595) website. For an existing site, a local SEO clean-up is quoted as a fixed job after a free review. Ongoing SEO campaigns are quoted separately. I don’t promise rankings, because nobody honestly can; I make sure the foundations are right and show you the numbers.

Questions

Local SEO questions

How long does local SEO take to work?

Profile and technical fixes can show up within weeks; building relevance for competitive searches takes months. Anyone promising first place quickly is guessing or gaming the system.

Do I need a website to rank on Google Maps?

A Google Business Profile can appear without one, but a website that clearly matches your profile, services and area gives Google far more confidence, and gives customers somewhere to go.

Should I have a page for every town?

Usually not. Near-identical town pages are treated as doorway pages. A page for each service, one honest page about your area, and genuine local work do more.

Can you help with reviews?

Yes: a simple routine for asking happy customers, a short link to your review page, and help replying. Reviews are never bought or faked.
